Mesh Pool Covers
Mesh Pool Cover
Advantages:
Mesh pool covers are a desirable option in pool safety today. Pool covers have many advantages over other safety barriers and All-Safe
has pool covers that have many advantages over other brands of pool covers.

Keeping the pool clean and reducing maintenance while establishing a secure barrier is the key advantage of pool covers. The tightly
woven mesh in our pool covers allows water to filter through while screening out leaves and debris. All-Safe pool covers remain dry and
the leaves and debris simply blow away. Mesh pool covers are ideal for owners who close down their pool during the winter months.

While one should not walk on mesh pool covers unless absolutely necessary, they are strong enough to support the weight of several
adults. This type of cover, in fact, has been shown supporting the weight of a small elephant.

We do not recommend pool covers for those who use their pool frequently as removal and replacement of pool covers can be quite time
consuming. Typically this type of pool cover is used in areas where the winter months bring snow and force the closure of the swimming
pool. Mesh pool covers are ideal for “winterizing” your pool. If safety is the main concern, and leaves and debris are not an issue, your best
option may be a net pool cover.

MESH POOL COVER: How it Works
Most pool owners have looked into the options available to them for a swimming pool cover. They may be looking for a swimming pool
cover to serve as a safety barrier and they may want a swimming pool cover to reduce pool maintenance.

The mesh swimming pool cover serves both purposes and is widely used throughout the United States to close down or winterize the
pool. The swimming pool cover fabric is a unique blend of polypropylene and is impervious to chlorine and mildew. The mesh swimming
pool cover is held in place with the use of a spring, attached to a strap that attachs to a brass anchor that has been drilled into the decking.
A special tool is required to attach and release the spring and a special shield keeps the spring from marring the deck. Once the spring
tensioned straps have been released, the cover is then pulled to one side of the pool. The cover can then be folded up and stored in a
storage bag for future use.

A typical mesh swimming pool cover can be removed in about 20 minutes and replacement requires about 30 minutes. Experience using
the swimming pool cover reduces the time and two people working together can make the job much easier.
MESH POOL COVER: Options
Mesh swimming pool covers offer safety and also help keep leaves and debris out of your pool. These swimming pool covers are
incredible strong and durable. There are a few options to consider when choosing between various swimming pool covers.

Most swimming pool covers will provide a satisfactory level of safety if properly cared for. However, not all mesh swimming pool covers are
equal in quality. It is important that the mesh pool cover straps go completely across the cover on both the top and bottom of the cover.
Also, the spacing of the straps on mesh swimming pool covers will greatly affect the overall strength.

When considering various styles of mesh swimming pool covers, you will need to choose between a custom cover and a standard pool
cover. All-Safe recommends a custom shaped pool cover so that it fits your pool exactly, however, a standard stock cover will typically be
less expensive.

Mesh swimming pool covers are available in green, blue and black. Green is the most popular color, however there are some backyards
where blue or black is more appropriate.
MESH POOL COVER: Installation
The installation of a mesh swimming pool safety cover requires patience, skill and attention to detail. When installed properly, a swimming
pool safety cover will look fantastic and provide an excellent layer of safety.

The installation process of a swimming pool safety cover begins with the official measurement. In order to manufacture a mesh swimming
pool safety cover that will fit the exact shape of your pool, about 100 measurements must be taken. These measurements are entered into
a computer that uses triangulation to recreate the shape of your pool. Once the mesh swimming pool safety cover has been manufactured
and delivered, the installation can begin.

Brass anchors are installed into ¾” holes that have been drilled into the pool deck. These anchors are raised slightly above the deck when
the swimming pool safety cover is in place over the water but can be recessed flush with pool deck when the swimming pool safety cover
is not in use.

Once the anchors are in place, the spring buckle assemblies are attached to the swimming pool safety cover straps. The tension of the
spring on each strap is adjusted. Once all of the straps have been adjusted, the installation is complete
.
MESH POOL COVER: Applications
As conscientious pool owners become more aware of their options in pool safety and pool maintenance, they are choosing swimming
pool safety covers.

Swimming pool safety covers are typically available in mesh and in solid fabrics. Our mesh swimming pool safety covers are designed for
both safety and maintenance. They are chosen, most often, by pool owners who use their pool infrequently or who wish to close the pool
down after the swim season has passed.

Mesh swimming pool safety covers are designed to keep leaves and debris out of the pool while allowing water to pass through. This
keeps the cover dry so the leaves and debris will blow off or can be easily swept off.

When utilized for safety purposes, our swimming pool safety covers provide an excellent barrier. The tight fitting cover keeps children from
falling in or gaining unwanted access. Even an adult cannot access the pool without using a specially designed tool. This tool releases
springs that are attached to anchors in the deck.

Mesh swimming pool safety covers are not ideally suited to pools with extensive rock or waterfall features. Although a mesh cover can often
be installed on this type of pool, we do not recommend it. Another challenging situation for a mesh swimming pool safety cover is a
vanishing edge pool. For this type of pool we recommend a fence or net pool cover.
MESH POOL COVER: Pool Access
A mesh pool cover is often the pool cover choice of pool owners who wish to “winterize” their pool or to close it down after the swim season
had ended. A mesh pool cover is also often the pool cover choice of pool owners who are in high wind areas and are in a constant battle
with leaves and debris.

Access to the pool area that is protected by a mesh pool cover begins with a special tool. This tool is a metal bar and it is used to release
the spring buckle assembly from the brass anchor. The spring buckle assembly is attached to the strap that is attached to the cover. Once
the tension on the springs has been released, the mesh pool cover can be removed.

The mesh pool cover is pulled to one side of the pool. The cover is then folded up and can be stored in a bag for future use.

Mesh pool covers can be difficult for one person to remove, depending on the size of the cover and the strength of the person. Access to a
swimming pool that is covered with a mesh pool cover is not as convenient and easy as is the case with some types of pool covers.
Therefore we do not recommend this type of cover for daily use.
Safety mesh pool covers are an excellent
way of providing safety for your pool and
peace of mind for you.
