POOL FENCE: Advantages Swimming pool fences are a desirable option in pool safety today. Removable pool fences have many advantages over other safety barriers and All-Safe swimming pool fences have many advantages over other brands of pool fences. Removable is the key word when it comes to swimming pool fences. While it is a wise decision to keep mesh pool fences in place at all times, there may be occasions when removing all or part of the fence is desirable. Removable pool fences allow sections to be removed to utilize more patio and yard area while the water is being enjoyed or the entire fence can be easily taken down to maximize the pool and patio area for adult functions. Convenient pool access is another wonderful feature of removable swimming pool fences. Pool fences can have manual and self-closing gates strategically positioned for entry from multiple locations. Self-closing gates in pool fences require only the turn of a key to enter the pool area. All- Safe’s unique EZ-close access opening has angled handles that assist in closing manual gates. All-Safe pool fences can be closed and locked when the pool is not in use. Another key advantage that removable pool fences offer is their transparent mesh. Parents can quickly and easily see thru the fence to verify that the pool area is secure. Unlike wood pool fences or solid pool covers, mesh pool fences allow a clear view of the swimming pool water. Not only are transparent swimming pool fences safer, but they are also more aesthetically pleasing. |
POOL FENCE: How it Works The most popular type of swimming pool fencing is removable pool fencing. This type of pool fencing provides a secure barrier than can be taken down or moved, by an adult, according to the current needs of the pool owners. Our sturdy, lightweight pool fencing, which is held in place by concentric tension, can be installed and removed in minutes. Installation of this swimming pool fencing requires the drilling of 1 ¼ inch holes in concrete deck or other surfaces where pool fencing is desired. Sleeves to support the pool fencing poles are inserted in the holes. These holes are well camouflaged with color-coordinated plugs when the swimming pool fencing is not in use. To put the swimming pool fencing in place, one simply places the first pole in the first hole and unroll the fence to the 2nd pole which is placed in the second hole, and so on. The last pole then attaches to the first, in the case of pool fencing which surrounds a pool. The pool fencing may also attach to a building, a wall or other structure. To remove All-Safe pool fencing, one releases the tension and lifts up on the first pole. The swimming pool fencing is then rolled to the 2nd pole, which is lifted and rolled to the 3rd and so on. All-Safe’s removable swimming pool fencing can usually be installed around irregular shapes and over varied surfaces and elevations. Due to the unobtrusive, transparent nature of pool fencing, most pool owners rarely remove this safety barrier. |
POOL FENCE: Options There are many options to consider when choosing an All-Safe removable pool fence. The All-Safe mesh pool fence is available in an assortment of colors, heights, mesh types, poles reinforcements, border material, etc. Removable pool fence is typically available in 48 inch and 60 inch heights. Most pool owners choose 48 inch high, however there are many areas where agencies such as foster care, daycare, adoption, building departments, etc require the mesh pool fence to be 60 inches tall. Please check with your local authorities for more information. All-Safe removable pool fence is offered in several colors including black, brown, green, tan, silver and white. Darker colors absorb light while lighter colors reflect light, therefore, we strongly recommend black, brown or green mesh pool fence rather than tan, silver or white. The color of your removable pool fence will affect its transparency. There are mesh options to consider when choosing a removable pool fence. The two most common types of removable pool fence mesh are vinyl-coated polyester and pvc coated polyester. All-Safe removable pool fence support poles are available in different styles for different types of installations. There is even a choice of borders when choosing your mesh pool fence. |
POOL FENCE: Installation The installation of a removable pool safety fence requires patience, skill and experience. When installed properly, the pool safety fence will look fantastic and provide an excellent layer of safety. The installation process of a pool safety fence begins with the layout. After a careful review of the pool area, the pool deck is marked for drilling. 1 ¼” holes are drilled approximately every 33 inches. These holes are drilled with a water-cooled coredrill utilizing a diamond tipped corebit. The resulting hole is very precise. Plastic deck sleeves are placed into these holes which hold and support the pool safety fence poles. When the pool safety fence is not in use, deck plugs are placed into the deck sleeves to fill the holes. After the holes are drilled the swimming pool safety fence can be installed into the holes. The removable child safety fence comes in sections about 14 feet long. These sections are connected together to make a continuous pool safety fence which either completely surrounds the pool area or runs from one side of the yard to other. It is critical that the swimming pool safety fence creates a barrier between the pool and all doors and windows. A swimming pool safety fence that completely surrounds the pool will almost always be the safest layout option. |
POOL FENCE: Applications As conscientious pool owners become more aware of their options in pool safety, child safety fences are becoming a popular choice. Removable pool safety fences are an ideal choice to keep infants and toddlers from entering the swimming pool or spa. Swimming pool safety fences can be used on almost any pool and can be installed over varied surfaces and elevations. All-Safe experts determine the best location for pool safety fences so as to minimize safety concerns and maximize the use of the yard and patio area. All-Safe installers can customize pool safety fences to follow the contour of the pool, detour around rocks and waterfalls, or to accommodate steps and planter areas. While it is not advisable to install removable pool safety fences entirely in dirt or grass areas, footings can be poured so pool safety fences can provide protection in areas that have a variety of terrain. All-Safe swimming pool safety fences are ideally installed in solid concrete. Pool safety fences can be easily removed and stored when not in use and replaced within a matter of minutes when a barrier is desired. Pool safety fences provide convenient adult access and are an ideal choice for frequent pool users. |
POOL FENCE: Pool Access Among the many wonderful features of All-Safe removable swimming pool fences are the access pool gates. Pool gates can be strategically placed throughout the fence so that access can be gained from various locations. All-Safe offers three types of pool gates with its removable pool safety fencing. Self-closing, self-latching pool gates are the most convenient and, as the name implies, are designed to close automatically. Because the latch is a mechanical device, and could fail to close properly every time, it is important to inspect the pool gate to make sure the latch is secure. A key is provided to lock the gate when the pool is not in use. Once you have locked the gate, be sure to remove the key and store it in a safe place out of the reach of children. Self-closing pool gates are about 3 feet wide and require enough area and clearance for the gate to swing completely open outward from the pool water. Manual pool gate openings are another option offered by All-Safe. These openings can be positioned nearly anywhere in the fence and are utilized by releasing the hooks between the poles and then rolling the fence open to gain access. The pool owner can determine the size of the pool gates or the length of the openings by removing one or more poles at a time. Additional holes are drilled in the deck to accommodate the pole that has been removed from the original hole. This is so you need not lay the opened portion of the fence on the ground. All-Safe’s unique EZ-close access opening has angled handles to assist in the closure of it manual pool gates. Without EZ-close handles, more strength is required to reattach one pole to the other to close the pool gate opening. Adults can conveniently enter or leave the pool area though any of the above types of pool gates, making a spontaneous swim a reality. |
